The fashion street in Milan is via MonteNapoleone!
It took me 1.5 months to find out as i was too lazy to do so after visiting The Mall outlet in Florence, Vicolungo in Turin and Saravella in Genoa.Since it was Milan fashion week last week,I decided to ask my Italian colleague & revisit the street after 7 yrs.
This street is ~10 mins walking distance from Milan Duomo. It was deserted on a sunday morning but the crowd started to dribble in after noon. Along both sides of the street are branded shops, e.g Prada, LV, Gucci, etc. There is a nice caffe down the corner if you need a break from the shopping.
For me, i would prefer to shop down the streets near the duomo where there are more affordable items=D
The hefty price of euro 560 for a blouse in Prada blew me off(literally!) The sandals cost euro290 & i was thinking if i were to buy it, will i be a slave to the sandal? Maybe not, if it was a gift...
or if i was given a million to shop/day.
There is a ciocolatti shop just a few doors away from La Rinascente which has a superb long queue. Apparently, the gelato there is great & i will try it next time!La Rinascente is equivalent to Takashimaya, Paragon and Ion orchard in Singapore. It housed lots of brands but with limited choices. However, it saves your time as almost every brand is available.
That's all for the shopping tips in Milan! Do drop by Duomo for a rest after a tiresome shopping day.
